One-to-One

Our partners offer individual lessons with a private teacher throughout the year, at varying intensities and with flexible course durations. Topics covered in the lessons are geared to your interest. The focus can be on conversational Russian, written Russian, Business Russian, Russian Literature and History and many more.
If you are looking to fully immerse in the Russian language and culture and want to progress fast, the One-to-One lessons will be the best match for you. Some of our partners can even arrange lessons to take place either at school or at your host family’s home, ensuring you speak Russian as much as possible and other languages as little as possible.

One-to-One Course Locations

One-to-One courses can be taken at:

  1. Liden & Denz (Moscow, St. Petersburg or Riga): Internationally renowned with attractive modern facilities, this is one of the oldest privately-run Russian language schools.
  2. Zlatoust Russian Language School, St. Petersburg: Associated with the famous publishers of the same name, here students learn the Russian language from the authors of the widely-used “Zlatoust” textbooks.
  3. Derzhavin Institute, St. Petersburg: A small and friendly school with a highly-active social calendar, the teachers here have a wealth of experience in teaching Russian.
  4. Petrozavodsk State University: Located in the capital of Karelia, this is the largest educational institution in Northern European Russia offering high quality Russian courses with a communicative approach.

What We Recommend

 

1) One-to-one courses at Derzhavin Institute in St Petersburg. One-to-one courses are tailor-made to meet your requirements and interests. The Derzhavin Institute teachers will make sure you are progressing rapidly whilst covering topics you enjoy.

 

2) If you wish to have a full Russian immersion experience, you should opt for Liden & Denz’s Russian only course. Your private teacher will give you lessons at your host family’s home. This way your exposure to Russian language is at a maximum and other languages at a minimum!
